The Rectangle Collection is all about inspiring you to feel like you’re staying true to your feminine side while adding in another refined piece into your existing accessories. The Rectangle Collection features a necklace, ring and dangly earrings—sleek, but not stuffy and envisioned to be worn with your vintage t-shirts as well as your button-down silk tops.

When I was in the process of designing this latest addition to the KDJ collections, I was really drawn to things that were very structured and geometric. At the same time, I noticed that various other jewelers were focusing on making coin necklaces so I wanted to add in a piece that would be complementary to that, but entirely unique.

I also have been in the process of looking at frames because I’m finally getting around to printing and framing some of my wedding photos (two years later!). I love frames that have some detailing on the edge but are still classic and simple. So true to form I drew inspiration from real life for this collection as well.

The Rectangle Collection reflects all of that, plus I have been focusing on adding in longer chain lengths into the Katie Dean Jewelry Collection. We have a lot of dainty necklaces in the 15-17 inch range but we were lacking on having a variety of longer necklace lengths. The Rectangle Necklace measures in at 18 inches with an additional 1 inch of extension chain, rounding out our collection to include longer chained pieces. (The Artist Face Necklace is another great piece that measures at 18 inches if you want to stock up on longer pieces!)
