Color Blocking In Red
Katie Dean, June 21 2017
I’m back with another outfit post! This dress is one of my faves because of bold red color blocking. Also, because shift dresses are just the best. I picked it up at a blogger event in San Francisco a couple months ago and I love how easy it is to style it — just put it on with some cute shoes, great jewelry and voila, you’re ready to go!
Now on to the details! The Little Dipper earrings are a staple for me. I love how I can double them up on each ear without being overkill, and they go with everything! I’m wearing two of my favorite necklaces (Bar with Gem and Light as a Feather) that are amazing for layering and fall perfectly in the v-neck of the dress. I always try to think about where my jewelry will fall on the neckline of that specific outfit. A ring stack is an everyday accessory. I love to mix and match, like the 3 I am wearing here! (check them out: Hammered Band, Claw and the Dotted ring)
The red heart sunglasses added the perfect bit of fun to this look, and I love how the color contrasts with my hair.
Finally, Madewell sandals are all of my favorite things — simple yet stylish, comfortable, and high quality. They are such a go-to in the summer. My bag was a birthday gift from my fiance, which makes it even more special, and is such a pretty shade of pink.
I hope you found some helpful tips in this post! As always, I love hearing from YOU. Let me know what you liked the most and what you want to hear more about in the comments below!
