What To Do On Mother’s Day in LA!
Katie Dean, May 05 2015
Mother’s Day is THIS Sunday! Haven’t planned anything yet? No need to panic! We have the perfect day planned, and it includes two of our favorite things: food and shopping!
First things first, get your day started off with some delicious brunch at one of these three top spots!
1. For something a little more upscale, check out Barbrix. What do we love about this place? Well, the food, the outdoor patio, and the $5 bottomless mimosas on Sundays (yes, really).
2. Not looking to go all out? Go to Local! Located right on Sunset, they have outdoor seating, organic food, and some of the tastiest brunch in the city. The entire menu is worth exploring but our personal favorite is the Huevos Rancheros!
3. For something a little more out of the box, head north to Highland Park for an out-of-this-world vegetarian/vegan brunch at Kitchen Mouse. You can’t go wrong on their menu, even if you are a huge meat lover! The quaint atmosphere and local crowd will totally win you over.
Once your bellies are full of fantastic local food, there’s just one thing left to do. Shop! While there are an abundance of malls and boutiques in our area, this weekend is the perfect one to try something a little bit different. It’s not often you find all of our cities most talented local artisans in one spot, and Mother’s Day couldn’t be a better time to enjoy what LA has to offer at Unique LA!
For only $10 at the door, you’ll have a day full of food, drinks, crafts, and an endless amount of beautiful, locally made items to browse and shop! This isn’t your typical craft fair, ladies. We are talking beautifully constructed clothing, purses, gourmet food, hand thrown pottery, unique toys, bath and body products, and (you guessed it) local jewelry! Katie Dean Jewelry will have a booth at this event, so we hope to see you there! Stop by the blog again on Thursday for all the what, when, where details!
We hope you all make your moms feel extra loved this weekend!
