RING STACKING: 101
We often get asked, how do you create the perfect ring party? To be honest, there is no ‘right way’ because perfection lies within the eye of the beholder BUT there are some helpful tips that will make creating that beautiful ring party much easier.
First things first: It’s all about balance.
Let us paint you a picture with an example. If you have a chunky ring on your middle finger, we would recommend putting a dainty ring on your thumb and a dainty ring on your pinky. And possibly, putting a knuckle ring on your fore finger. What happens here is that you create different levels so there’s some dimension happening. Spacing out your jewels on different fingers and at different points of your finger gives off a balanced look that is pleasing to the eye. You’re also not wearing 4 big, chunky rings which are all competing to be seen. When you mix a chunky ring with dainty rings it allows each one to shine.

Another way of finding balance in your ring party is by creating a mirror image of your rings on each half of your hand. This best applies to dainty rings in our opinion. So this could be as simple as wearing a ring on each finger that is dainty and having them all lined up from pinky finger to thumb. Or placing one chunky ring on your middle finger and then dainty on each of the other fingers.

When it comes to a ring stack on one finger
we like to play with different textures and sizes. For instance, we love pairing up the Two Gem Ring with the Hammered Band Rings on either side. Also, the Initial Rings look great with a Hammered Band ring and then a Three Gem Ring stacked. For more dimension, you can layer up the Bar with Gem ring, with the Hammered Band Ring and add on the Evil Eye ring on top of that OR the Little Dipper Ring.
Can you tell that we think the Hammered Band Ring is an essential part of your ring parties?! If you invest in any of the pieces by making them in solid gold, this is by far the first one that we recommend doing that with. It will never go out of style.

In general, as a rule of thumb
you can make a fabulous ring party that is both stylish and well balanced with three simple sizes: a pink ring, a middle finger or forefinger ring and a thumb ring (give or take a knuckle ring if that’s your thing).
We hope this helps guide you in the right direction during your ring stacking adventure. If ever you need help shoot us an email at hello@katiedeanjewelry.com!
