Grandma's Pumpkin Cookie Recipe

Pumpkin Chocolate chip cookies laid out on white cloth

And just like that, it’s fall.

Unbe-leaf-able how time has flown by lately.

Forewarning: this season brings out the corny puns. I can’t help it! But in all seriousness, there are so many magical things about this time of year.

Here’s a short list of some of my favorite autumn things:

  • Making my Grandma’s Pumpkin Cookie Recipe (listed below for you to try!)
  • Taking a drive to see all the decorated front porches
  • Cozy sweaters with golden layers
  • Drinking hot cocoa with marshmallows, of course
  • Afternoon walks in the cool brisk air
  • Lighting all the candles
  • Eating at least a dozen cinnamon sugar donuts
  • And... adventures to the cider mill!

If you’re not quite ready to embrace the new season, try making my Gram’s famous pumpkin cookies. I’m 99% sure you’ll fall in love with autumn and never look back.

GRANDMA'S PUMPKIN COOKIES

Set your oven to 350 degrees

Prep your ingredients:

1 cup sugar, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup pumpkin, 1 cup soft butter, 1 egg (room temp), 1 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups flour, 1 cup oatmeal, 1 teaspoon baking soda

1 cup chocolate chips

Step 1: Blend the pumpkin, egg, butter, vanilla, sugar & spices

Step 2: Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients

Step 3: Very important -- add the chocolate chips!

Step 4: Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes

Step 5: ENJOY!

Bonus step: tell me how they turn out. 😍

XO, KATIE

P.s. My husband and I got an early start on our autumn bucket list -- pictures below from our trip to the cider mill this past weekend, wearing the All Seeing Eye Necklace with my fall outfit!
