THE ART OF LIFE

As a new mom, I’ve been reflecting on what makes life beautiful. What makes someone feel beautiful. What is beauty? It is SO easy to play the comparison game. Especially in a world where you pretty much see the highlight reels of everyones life on social media. Don’t get me wrong, I love seeing my friends success and their happy moments captured on camera when I have a moment to scroll a social media feed. But it can be challenging to keep your integrity in on what matters most to you in life. 

For me it’s helped to keep in mind that life is ever evolving and everyone is in a different chapter in their story. Right now I’m in the chapter of, maybe I’ll wash my hair, do my make up and wear non-work out clothes once this week …and maybe not, haha. While other moms are in the chapter of doing their make-up everyday and back to having date nights on the regular. Regardless I’m learning that within all these different phases of life, I’m still the creator of my life. I get to be the artist of my day, creating moments that will last forever in the memories with my sweet girl. I’m choosing to say “I’m so thankful that…” instead of “Ugh, I have to do that…”. It’s a minor thing but creates a huge shift in mindset.
