It comes as no surprise

that we like to break the rules at KDJ. And we’re starting the New Year by doing just that! Who said you can’t wear white in the winter? Well, we’re making our own style guide this season and it includes the sweetest off the shoulder tea cup dress there ever was!

Lucky for us, in California we have a temperate climate all year long. So that means baring shoulders and legs for that beautiful sun so we can soak up all the Vitamin D.

I was super excited when I scored this little white dress during the Nordstrom sale in the Fall. I take every opportunity I can to wear it out and about. It’s one of those dresses that you can say, ‘I’ll be ready in two minutes!” and actually be ready to step out the door in two minutes. A rarity!

An off the shoulder look is always a good idea to me.

It’s sexy without trying too hard.

I layered up the Gold Rolo Choker with the Je Taime Necklace to draw attention to my collar bone area. Such a feminine and underrated part of the upper body.

Another fun fact, lately, I’ve been really into having a pinky ring. I’m actually making myself a Hammered Band Ring in solid gold because I love pinky rings THAT much. (FYI pinky rings are typically size 3 or 4 if you’re thinking of jumping on the band wagon) On my middle finger I created a trio stack with the Coin Ring, Two Gem Ring and Female Symbol Ring. Spreading women empowerment one hint at a time with this ring party.

As always, you can see I’m proudly donning the Claw Cuff. It’s a classic and here to stay.

A few other details about my look: I went simple with my Madewell sandals and got the perfect up-do with my new favorite hair accessory, the Brass Hair Pin from Mane Message. You can find a similar version to mine here. I met Olivia, the designer and owner of Mane Message at a Renegade Craft Fair in the summer of 2017. We were booth neighbors and she was so sweet!
