Upgrade Your Minimal Look With Our Dainty Beaded Collection
Katie Dean, February 12 2019
Hands up if you used to raid your Mom’s wardrobe as a little girl and layer up in all her too-big-for-you skirts, dresses, tops, and jewels?! ✋ Layering up like a boss is fun, but these days I am a HUGE believer that less is more—the only thing is, “less” can be so much harder to pull off!
You’d think trying to choose fewer items to wear would be easier but it’s not! And that’s why I wanted to share three different looks I created around the staples in my wardrobe. I think the biggest key to putting together a successful minimalist look is sharp, clean lines – it makes the minimalism look intentional instead of accidental or, worst, boring!
Each look includes my favorite pair of buttoned-up ripped jeans (I could seriously live in these!), pointed toe suede loafers, and my go-to vintage crossbody satchel for the perfect statement bag when out-and-about.
I hope you can see how each look still feels unique and brings its own chic, feminine vibe. Plus! I wanted to show you how you can upgrade your own bare essentials with our brand new Beaded Collection (or your own dainty detail!) to elevate your look and give your gems center stage.
1. Sunday Stroll (cute pooch optional ;)
Cool, comfortable, flattering—I love everything about pairing this classic “own-it-forever” tee with my favorite button-up ripped jeans. Perfect for a Sunday stroll or park date with friends, this look is all about hanging out, relaxing, and understated sophistication.

2. Luxe, Weekday Elegance
I absolutely ADORE this lightweight, three-quarter sleeve knit—it feels like heaven (soooo soft!) and is very easy on the eye at this time of year. Bring some weekday elegance to your daily errands by pairing a soft knit like this with jeans and pair it with a delicate jewel like the Beaded Arch Necklace to add the perfect pop of sparkle.

3. Boss Lady Uniform
Minimal, yet totally eye-catching, I love to get suited up KDJ style (office or no office)! Pair the softness of your favorite white crop top or singlet with the structure of a quality, rolled-up sleeve blazer like this for an edgy, bold, and completely cool look. I’m totally into this layering combination—not only does it help contrast the bare skin, but the formal blazer keeps the look in the “grown-up” category and steers it away from skewing into a more music festival vibe!
