TAKE A HIKE
Spending time outdoors year round is a major perk of living Los Angeles
and the Katie Dean Jewelry team likes to take full advantage of this
by going on hikes on a regular basis!
Because living an active lifestyle is so important to us, here is a
list of our top five favorite hiking spots in Los Angeles.
- For a casual walk, check out the Silver Lake Reservoir. This is the perfect place to walk your four-legged friend because there is a dog park on the property. Afterwards, be sure to visit one of our favorite breakfast/coffee spots, LaMill, located just down the street!
- Another great place to grab a coffee and hike is Griffith Park! Make a stop at Trails, pick up your favorite brew, and hit any one of the many trails that go through the park. Another major perk of hiking here: The Griffith Observatory has some of the most beautiful city views!
- Temescal Canyon is also known for it’s incredible views. It’s a little more out of town on the west side, but rather than seeing the city, you’ll get to stare at the Pacific. Plus, there’s nothing quite like hiking in ocean air!
- One of the most famous hikes in Los Angeles is Runyon Canyon. Because of its popularity, this is the perfect place for people watching. It’s not a very strenuous hike and is very easy to access. Perfect for hiking with a friend!
- A lesser known hiking spot that we love is Ernest E. Debs Park. This hike is fairly steep so it’s a great workout, the city views are beautiful, and at the top there is a small duck pond!
Give each of these spots a try and we will see you on the trails!
