Jewelry in the Big Apple
Katie Dean, July 17 2017
I just got back from a whirlwind 3 and a half weeks in the Big Apple, and let me tell you–it was amazing! From all of the different neighborhoods to explore to the most incredible shopping, I’ll always be head over heels for this city. It really gives me so much inspiration and drive to keep creating.
From meeting to meeting, it was a super busy trip. Manhattan being the walking city that it is, my Feit sneakers were a gift from heaven. I wore these bad boys almost every day and logged many miles on them. The weather went from hot and humid to crisp and cool at night (thank goodness) so my pink Zara dress was the perfect candidate to wear solo during the day and layer up with my leather jacket and white American Apparel bodysuit at night. I decided on the Evil Eye Necklace for my main accessory because against the white t, the details pop.
As always I had to pair up my fun vintage basket bag (which I get questions about ALL the time — thanks old Saks Fifth Avenue!). Whenever I wear my leather jacket, I like to keep my jewels pretty simple because it’s heavy on the hardware. I have on my Hammered Bands rings, as well as the Evil Eye and Little Dipper Studs paired together.
Absolutely can’t wait to return to NYC later this summer for my TWO WEEK POP UP in SoHo with Artists & Fleas from August 14th – 27th!! Make sure to come and say hi (details below)!
